Our Story

Vinaries Restaurant is associated with many faces and names. Yet three in particular seem to stand out.

Within the local community they are known as the three brothers, the guys, our friends. Family comes first when operating the restaurant as well as the strong connections with the island and the local community. These values lay the foundations for the restaurant’s successful course. Kostas, Michalis and Christos are the three faces of Vinaries Restaurant that will welcome you with a warm smile when visiting the restaurant.

The three brothers are at the core of this family-run restaurant:

  • Kostas is the head chef and the oldest of the brothers, the curator of the menu, the dishes and the one in charge of the kitchen. He was 11 years old when he announced to his parents that he wanted to be a chef. To prove his point, he made a traditional Kefalonian meat pie on the spot. With lots of love and knowledge, he decided to focus on seafood and traditional cuisine for the dishes on the restaurant’s menu.
  • Michalis is the manager of the restaurant and the middle child of the family. He works with the team, organizes the events and you will always find him in the main hall of the restaurant making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Christos is the youngest of the siblings and deals with the restaurant’s public relations and communication. With excellent communication skills he is the reservation manager and the gentle voice behind the phone.

 

Since their parents owned a restaurant from 1993 to 2008, the expertise and knowledge over running a restaurant and the dining experience was passed on to the children. Growing up within the catering industry and wanting to follow the footsteps of their parents, the new generation decided to open a new chapter with Vinaries Restaurant.
